Watching you around the clock — without any extra worries

Johannes Wagner is rarely found at his own front door. As managing director of Wagner Building Technology in Uhingen, he's usually somewhere else entirely: on installation jobs, responding to emergency calls, or finally enjoying a well-deserved vacation. Meanwhile, tools, vehicles, and materials await his return at the company premises.

EMATHON was designed to fill precisely this gap. The task: to provide complete coverage of a large backyard used for storage and parking, as well as the freely accessible sides of the building, without creating a fortress or triggering a notification from Johannes every time a cat crosses the yard.

At the center of the courtyard now stands a single Tapo C545D. Its fixed 165° wide-angle lens keeps the entire area in sharp 2K resolution around the clock, while a second, motorized 2K lens automatically activates upon detecting movement, tracks the object, and captures the details that a pure wide-angle shot would miss. With IP66 protection, it withstands wind, rain, and everything else the courtyard throws at it. Around the perimeter of the building, four Tapo C560WS cameras take over where the C545D's range ends. Each camera covers its area with a full 360° pan range, ensuring no blind spots along the building's walls.

The result is a system that Johannes hardly has to worry about until the moment he needs it. A notification reaches his phone, a glance at the live stream is all it takes, and he's back to work.
